IS-BAO Workshops

IBAC presents IS-BAO Workshops to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the IS-BAO, to accredit potential IS-BAO auditors and to provide information to other interested parties. As the number and location of IS-BAO Workshops is contingent upon demand, suggestions of venues and dates for Workshops are welcome. Should anyone believe that there is a critical mass of individuals interested in a Workshop in areas not shown on the schedule, wish to host a Workshop or recommend a location, please contact Katherine Perfetti, IBAC Standards Manager.

Workshop Schedule

*Operator Focused Workshops but also meet auditor initial accreditation requirements

These Workshops are designed to assist operators who are implementing, or considering implementing, the IS-BAO. They will open with a presentation of background and general information on the IS-BAO. This will be followed by a 2 hour detailed discussion of the IS-BAO standards and how an operator can go about implementing them. Subsequently, about 2 hours will be spent discussing the risk assessment process and development of an operator’s safety management system. The Workshop will conclude with a one hour discussion of audit considerations. In order to gain full benefit from the Workshop participants should bring there IS-BAO an International Standards for Business Aircraft Operations and copies of the Guidelines for the Conduct of Risk Analysis by Business Aircraft Operators, and the IS-BAO Internal Audit Manual. The latter two documents are on the 2006 IS-BAO CD.

*While the primary focus of these Workshops is to provide information to operators, potential IS-BAO auditors can also be accommodated.

IS-BAO Auditor Renewal Workshops

These Workshops will involve in-depth review and exchange of ideas on the IS-BAO audit procedures and experience with the program over the past two years. They will be of interest to accredited auditors only.
