Some recent takeoff accidents have highlighted the insidious danger of small amounts of ice accumulation on aeroplane wing surfaces.

Discussion
IS-BAO standard 5.1.3 requires surface contamination training for flight crew and cabin crew. Chapter 9 and AMC 9.1 address training for maintenance personnel. Operators may wish to bring the following NTSB Advisory to the attention of flight operations and maintenance personnel and consider incorporating it into their surface contamination training program.
